Natural gas does not have an odor, so a chemical that smells like rotten eggs is added to the gas. Known or suspected sources of the odor may be from hot water heaters, gas appliances, and building’s heating systems.

Flood or Water Leak
IF WATER IS FOUND IN YOUR PREMISES OR IN A COMMON AREA
- Attempt to locate the source. Stop the flow of water.
- Each water source has shut off valve located near the water source
- If drain is the source place something beneath to catch leaking water
- Immediately contact Landlord/Property Manager, 402-599-3470
- If possible, move any items possible off of the floor or lower shelf to a higher area to reduce property damage.
Power Failure
In the event of a power failure
- Identify if the outage it is an area outage, building outage or only your unit outage
- Report to local power company

- Check the breakers and fuses to ensure the breakers are not tripped or fuses have been blown

Burglary
IN THE EVENT OF A BREAK IN WHEN THE INTRUDER IS STILL ON THE PREMISES
- CALL 911
- Do not enter the area, or if inside leave the area, if possible
- Complete and file Police Report
- Notify Landlord/Property Manager, 402-599-3470 to report the details of the theft / break in.
- Send a copy of the police report to building management.
- Notify of any damage to Landlord/Property Manager, and if repairs are necessary.
- Immediately contact the police by a non-emergency phone number.
